Joyce Bailey

Joyce Bailey is a consultant specializing in education, design, development, and facilitation of essential skills and elements for creating success and fulfillment at work and in life.

Joyce has designed and facilitated learning solutions in the areas of communication skills, negotiating, creativity, innovation, and personal vision and values. She is a qualified Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) facilitator and designs and leads team building experiences incorporating this tool.

Joyce has over ten years of experience in design, development, and facilitation of learning solutions.


Some of her major projects include:

• Customizing, facilitating, and coaching presentation skills for all employee levels in Disability Claims, Sales, Underwriting and Customer Service departments within the Group Market division of Liberty Mutual
  
• Facilitating and coaching customer service communication skills for Disability Claims at Liberty Mutual, for K. Hovnanian (a major U.S. homebuilding company), and for Disability Consulting Group (part of United Health Group)

Prior to becoming an independent consultant, Joyce was employed for 22 years in various positions within the disability insurance industry at both UNUM and Liberty Mutual. With a background in disability contracts, underwriting and claims, Joyce also consulted extensively with Liberty Mutual Disability Claims and Underwriting Trainers to design effective department technical training.

Joyce received a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern Maine. A lifelong learner, she actively studies Spanish as a second language, and regularly practices and occasionally teaches yoga, jazz and ballroom dance. Additional successes include raising and training two amazing Shetland Sheepdogs.
