Coaching

Our five-step COACH Approach™ includes:

Contracting Getting clear on the goals of the coaching process: how the coach, the coaching client, and other key stakeholders (such as the coaching client's manager, Human Resources, etc.) will work together
 
Observation Using observation and discussion to determine key issues for coaching
 
Assessment Gathering data from the coaching client and others (either formally or informally)
 
Coaching Creating a coaching blueprint with a specific, targeted development plan
Handoff Ensuring that the coaching client owns the responsibility for sustaining the changes

The process includes setting expectations around what the coaching process will look like (how many sessions, how frequent, over what period of time), the expected outcomes, and the process of balancing confidentiality for the person being coached with updates to the key contact, as appropriate.

The work typically includes coaching an executive, manager, or individual contributor over a period of time, in weekly or semi-monthly sessions where we work on a targeted set of issues.
