Melissa Munroe
Melissa Munroe has over eighteen years progressive
experience in learning and development including needs assessment,
curriculum design and development, program delivery and implementation,
evaluation, and post assessment. Melissa motivates learners and
ensures learning retention and transfer by employing a variety of
teaching techniques including coaching, case studies, simulations,
assessments, group exercises, and hands-on practice.
Ms. Munroe has designed a wide range of programs including communication
skills, customer service, interviewing techniques, interpersonal
skills, presentation skills, teambuilding, management development,
and performance management. She holds certifications in change management,
management/leadership development, Myers-Briggs, and time management.
Prior to her consulting role, Melissa was the Worldwide Training
Manager at Reebok International, where she implemented the corporate
development strategy and oversaw all programs within The Reebok
Professional and Management Development Center.
Ms. Munroe received both her Master of Education in Organizational
Development and Applied Group Dynamics and Bachelor of Arts in Human
Resources and Personnel Administration from the University of Massachusetts
at Amherst. She has presented at the international conferences for
the American Society of Training and Development and the Society
for Human Resources Management. Speaking topics—such as getting
management buy-in for learning and bringing creativity and impact
into the learning mix—reflect Melissa’s genuine interest
in her work. In addition, she has received three National Telly
Awards for her video-based learning programs.
