Challenge: Identify the best
practices in mergers and acquisitions.
Solution: Created an interview
protocol and conducted 46 interviews with individuals from acquiring
and acquired companies that had been absorbed in the prior 5-7 years
by the company. Identified actions that helped and hindered the
success of the mergers/acquisitions and made recommendations around
planning, due diligence process, relationship building, resource
retention, decision making, and communication.
Client: Telecommunications Company
Challenge: Identify challenges faced by employees
and supervisors that lead to turnover.
Solution: Conducted focus groups
with employees and supervisors to identify concerns and issues.
Using a structured brainstorming technique, identified and quantified
the biggest issues; shared data with management along with specific
recommendations.
Client: Media Company
Challenge: Identify skills and strategies of high-performing salespeople.
Solution: Conducted interviews
with a broad range of high-performing salespeople; Recommended changes
to organizational structure; changes to role of manager (allowing
more time to manage and coach); training in pipeline management
and coaching for managers; and cross-selling, objection handling,
and joint calling for all salespeople and sales managers.
