Most recently she has focused her work on helping companies and executives re-evaluate their management and leadership in response to the compelling need for change in the business environment.
She has designed and conducted in-depth research and analysis of organizational culture and management and leadership competencies. She has developed, designed and/or facilitated competence-based management and executive training programs that help participants evaluate their actions and behaviors in the context of the changing business environment.
Domestically, her client work has included management and leadership projects for such clients as Deloitte and Touche, ExxonMobil, Fidelity Investments, Irving Oil, ITT Sheraton, Johnson & Johnson, KPMG, MBNA, Medco, Mellon Bank, Merck, Shell Oil, SmithKline Beecham, and Southern California Edison.
In addition, she has conducted leadership programs throughout the world and is skilled at working in diverse cultures. International deliveries include such companies as Export Development Corporation Canada, ExxonMobil Southeast Asia and South America, Irving Oil Canada, ITT Sheraton Europe, Merck Europe and Southeast Asia, Mobil Oil Indonesia, and Mobil Producing Nigeria. These leadership programs were designed to align executives globally around critical strategic objectives and then help them develop the leadership behaviors to ensure execution and change. Each required significant cross-cultural understanding. For instance, the programs for ExxonMobil in Singapore usually had over fifteen countries and as many languages represented in a room of 25 participants.
In her most recent project with Irving Oil, she and two other faculty members facilitated and individually coached Irving Oil’s top 350 managers. Results were statistically significant for increased understanding and alignment with the new strategy as well as marked improvement in the critical leadership practices necessary to execute the strategy and culture change.
